The Challenge

The Government of British Columbia needed support with single-sign-on (SSO) identity management to secure government resources, information and user data. Topping the list was private information stored within online services, such as health records, business information, children and family support services, and much more.

Our Solution

Through a long-term partnership, we helped government development teams create a way to integrate approved identity providers into their apps over a standard, secure protocol.

We developed a simple authentication process which includes features that enable administrators to define roles and groups and assign users.

We created Helm templates to automate Keycloak integration requests and support authentication and authorization tied to OAuth2/OIDC frameworks and government security standards.

The Outcome

Button delivered a successful solution built within a Keycloak environment using configuration as code. We provided the B.C. Government with a way to deploy and maintain the Pathfinder SSO product, including alerts and dashboards to monitor status, boosting internal efficiency and saving them valuable time and resources.
